| Fraser River Port Greets New Container Vessel |
October 30, 2002: Fraser River Port and Fraser Surrey Docks staff were on hand recently to celebrate the maiden voyage of a new 3,200 TEU container vessel, the TMM Colima. The vessel sailed from the China Shipbuilding Corporation shipyard in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, stopping only at ports in Hong Kong, Yantian, and Pusan before arriving at Fraser Surrey Docks where approximately 1,500 containers were loaded and unloaded.
The vessel is owned by CP ships and is deployed in the AMPAC service consortium providing biweekly service between North America, South America, and Asia. The TMM Colima was built in Taiwan and is 230 metres in length, 32.2 metres wide, and draws 11.02 metres of water fully loaded. TMM Colima is the third new containership to be delivered under CP Ships' four-year, $800 million ship replacement program.

Patricia Weber, VP of Operations for
the Fraser River Port Authority, was
on hand to congratulate Captain S. Penic at maiden voyage ceremony for TMM Colima.
