Richmond Properties
The Fraser River Port Authority is developing its Richmond Properties for use
by marine and transportation businesses. The 281-hectare (294-acres) site is located in southeast
Richmond, between the Fraser River and Westminster Highway, at the foot of No. 8
Road. It is easily accessible by road and rail, and is close to Vancouver International
Airport.
The first development phase is nearly complete, with two CN Rail lines constructed
and services installed on developed portions. The following tenants are already
operating on the site:
- ADESA Vancouver
- HBC Logistics
- Fraser Richmond Soil & Fibre
- Coast 2000/Modalink
Future plans include a deep-sea terminal to attract more companies that want
access to the river, the rail lines, and the regional road system. The Port Authority
is actively marketing the remainder of the site to representatives of local and
international marine and transportation-related businesses.
